Clarke American’s innovative new Product Selectors simplify check selection during new account opening process
New licensed offerings, 39 product additions, 40 updated designs

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Clarke American’s 2006 personal and business Product Selectors offer financial institutions new solutions for simplifying check selection during the account opening process. Another example of Clarke American’s continuing commitment to helping its partners increase and retain profitable customer relationships, the Product Selectors feature 39 product additions, new licensed offerings and 40 updated designs. The selectors and the new products are available at branches that partner with Clarke American beginning January 1st.

“The innovative, multi-fold selectors are compact, durable and easy to keep close at hand,” says Martha Hefling, senior marketing manager. This new format enables users to locate a check design and determine the appropriate order entry code quickly and easily. It increases customer satisfaction during new account opening by saving time: there’s no page turning – just a colorful, quick-glance view of the most popular checks and related accessories.

The format for the new selectors was developed based on feedback the company garnered during extensive research, including interviews and focus group studies with more than 2,000 branches, and meetings with key executives at financial institutions. Respondents said it was important to capture the first check order at the branch, that the check selling process has to be fast and efficient, and that they wanted streamlined, simplified marketing materials.

“As our financial institution partners’ needs continue to evolve, more targeted and streamlined processes become increasingly important.” says Hefling. “We developed the new Product Selectors to save time and provide our partners with a more focused, efficient approach to selling checks and other related products. Aligning with their goals and strategies helps our financial institution partners attract new customers, retain existing customers and increase their revenues.”

The Personal Product Selector features more than 80 check designs in an eight-sided display with dedicated space for check enhancements, accessory bundles, and delivery options. It’s designed to be attractive for the new account holder and functional for the branch representative.

The Business Product Selector is a four-sided display featuring the most popular checks, deposit tickets and accessories with special savings highlighted in red. It provides a time-saving way for business account holders to be sure they’re getting the check style and format that is compatible with their business needs.
