(July 5, 2006) SAN ANTONIO – Clarke American was recently presented with the 2006 Distinguished Partner Award by the Quality Texas Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to assess and promote quality, operational efficiency and success in businesses throughout the state. Clarke American was recognized at the organization’s annual Quest Conference for Performance Excellence in Dallas for its support of the foundation and its mission as well as its volunteerism during the past year.

Dawson recently joined the Quality Texas Chairman’s Council, which is an elite advisory group comprised of CEOs and organizational leaders from various companies across the state, many of which are former award recipients. Council members act as ambassadors of performance excellence and role models for other organizations in Texas.

In 2001, Clarke American was a recipient of the prestigious Texas Award for Performance Excellence given by the Quality Texas Foundation. The award is patterned after the U.S. Department of Commerce Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s highest Presidential honor for quality and organizational performance, which Clarke American also received that same year.
